IBM 32-bit Runtime Environment for Java v6

IBM 32-bit Runtime Environment for Java v6 is IBM’s implementation of the Java SE 6 platform for 32-bit systems. It supplies the Java Virtual Machine, core class libraries, and related components needed to run Java applications without installing a full development kit. Built on IBM’s J9 virtual machine, it is designed to deliver strong performance, reliability, and manageability for enterprise workloads.

Key capabilities:

• Standards-compliant Java SE 6 runtime for running existing Java 6 applications and applets
• 32-bit JVM with just-in-time compilation, adaptive optimization, and configurable garbage collection policies to balance throughput and pause times
• Class data sharing and other startup optimizations to reduce launch times and memory footprint
